The project FLY + FUGL in Bodø, northern Norway, integrates artistic strategies and art into early municipal planning to actively shape local development, community engagement, and the identity of emerging urban areas. OPI Studio was commissioned by Bodø Kommune and KORO (Public Art Norway) as one of 3 artistic practices to create a proposal for FLY + FUGL and a possible future of Bodø’s new development.
Between Walls proposes an inverted form of infill. Rather than filling a gap at the end of a planning process, the infill comes first—allowing the artwork to evolve over time while building dreams, conversations, and collective imagination before anything else is built.
